On The Trail of Big Cats.
Ha! I hear you think, "what is she saying now?". Obvi, this is NOT a big cat but a mountain goat from Montana.
But last night, I was at the @harriscenter watching live @stevewinterphoto from the @natgeo live series, and his presentation was "On The Trail of Big Cats." I'm already fascinated by photojournalism and the work of all the NatGeo pro photographers. Last night hearing Mr. Winter speak of his adventures and explain the story behind his most famous photos? You guys, I was full of admiration 🙌
His dedication, time and effort that he pours into these images is mostly unknown to us.
Above all, I marveled at the power of photography. How it can contribute positively and save animals. What a way to use your skills for the greater good!
Last week my nine-year-old son told me he's developing an interest in photography. I gave him my first Canon EOS Rebel to play with. And while he was testing it out, he told me, "I want to photograph animals maman."
Yes, he was with us last night. I hope Steve Winter planted a little seed in him. 😉
