Today I guided my "Taking Yoga hOMe" workshop at @breathebodyandmind , that I've been offering at various studios and by contract for several years now. Often, studio owners shy away from it, fearing it will take students (clients) out of tbe studio. But the goal is to empower us all to adopt yoga into our lives in every facet, and SUPPLEMENT our studio / gym / community / private sessions practice. :: The stories that were shared today and the reasons why this particular group desired to expand their yoga / meditation practice to home and travel (and commute!) we're individual and impactful. I've learned from all my teachers but especially @narayanishakti , @cj_lundgren , and @alexandriacrowyoga that a person centered approach is the foundation of trust, connection, and the freedom to operate with personal agency. :: When we are provided knowledge, the opportunity to explore, to question and possibly change old belief systems, repattern thought and action, and remain curiously teachable...there are no limits to where our devotions can take us. This potentially lifelong practice can support all without being one size fits all. :: And as always, I'm reminded that what brings us to a mindful practice is rarely what keeps us coming back to that practice.
