Metal skateparks are becoming extinct. Cushing skatepark in Englewood is one of the remaining few. Sure, metal parks are hot and slippery. The obstacles, transition, coping, flow and design are all "unique". However, it is those things that make skating here fun and challenging. Eventually these parks will only be memories, hopefully replaced by a new park. Speaking of memories, does anyone remember that quarter on the other side of the spine? Or the lil kicker next to the mini? Or how about when it was on that crusty asphalt? Ohhh, what about that wooden log that you could boardslide behind the mini? So many great memories and sessions here. I'm hyped to see the locals still holding it down at Cush. ..
